new bed!

I know that blogging has been on the back burner the past couple of weeks. And it is such a shame, since we've had so much fun and I have lots of great pictures. I'll try to post some pictures of all of our activities in the next couple of weeks.

The most exciting thing to happen this weekend is that we have finally finished the bed for Scott. We promised him a new bed and liked on that we saw at Ikea, but didn't want to spend that kind of money for a bunch of 2X2's. So, we designed and made our own. Derrick and I both let out a big sigh when we placed the mattress on the bed yesterday and it actually fit!!!

It all started last summer when we were shopping at Ikea and found the star tent on sale for $2.50. We didn't know what we were going to do with it, but thought it was too good a deal to pass up. Then, we realized that you had to have a bed with rails in order for the tent to fit.
