Summer's Here

I know that the calendar says that summer just started yesterday, but we've had summer in Georgia for several weeks now. I don't define summer by the solstice; nor does it have anything to do with breaks from school. Nope, summer is the season of watermelons and thunderstorms. We experienced both last Tuesday. The disappointment of not swimming due to the thunderstorm was lessened considerably by the juicy red watermelon we enjoyed for dessert.


As with any watermelon experience, I required that they consume the melon outside and shirtless. It worked pretty well, but I'm not sure if Amanda's cloth diaper has recovered from the red stain.
