"Laundry Bunnies"

Derrick and I have decided that we have Laundry Bunnies living in our house. It's not unlike the Dust Bunnies that we have lurking in every corner. Both seem to multiply faster than we can keep up with them.

A typical bedtime conversation between Derrick and me is this: "Didn't we do laundry earlier this week?" "Yes" "Then, why am I stuffing my dirty clothes into the laundry basket? It is overflowing!"

Of course, when you have kids that come in with clothes this muddy...,
...Or a face like this after eating grapefruit (you probably can't see that he was tipping the rind up to his mouth like a bowl and eating everything he could out of the inside of the grapefruit. He had it all over his face and shirt), you should expect mountains of laundry.

The bonus about doing so much laundry is that if I forget something or don't want to disturb a nap to get a laundry basket out of Roo's room, it doesn't matter. I know I'll have enough for a new load very soon.

(Speaking of "Roo's room", we may not be able to say that much longer. Last night, he chose to sleep in the extra "big boy bed" in Scooter's room. We really hope that they will share a room soon, since we think it is such a good experience for both of them. He loved the freedom of being able to get up out of bed as he chose. In fact, he "chose" to get up three times before we finally convinced him that it was time to go to sleep. He was so cute running down the hall with this great big smile on his face...the "I've escaped from jail" smile.)
